Read 2 - 71% through
I've managed to get 71% through the second read of Genie and segments have been changed to make it read more smoothly. About twenty typos have been caught so far.
In other news, the US artist didn't get back to me and, although I was going to wait patiently, someone came on my radar locally, who wants to get involved with the project. Having seen their web site and their customer list... heck, I'm up for this, so I shot them the thoughts so far and I'll get them a copy of read 2 when it's finished.
The art work alone will cost more than I'll ever make back from the book... but my heart of hearts is realising that this is a journey now. You only get famous and make big bucks if you're lucky like J.K. or willing to court insanity like E.L.James.
When I look at them, J.K. is stuck with Potter, and James' attempt to re-ignite through Grey's viewpoint fell flat. Yes, there's a hell of a lot to be said for not having to worry whether I can afford to pay the electric, but you know, at least I can still walk down the street, or along the beech front, and enjoy being a nobody :-)
