Itself or herself?
Here's an interesting line for you.... "he turned his collar against the rain and strode out against the droplets, as if he was defying mother nature itself."
I suppose this would depend on your world view, but a question has been raised on whether "itself" should be, "herself."
Personally, I deem "mother nature," as being more the force of life and not having a gender. Perhaps if you believe more in the spiritual side, you might attach a personality.
What do you reckon?
