Michelle Knight. Writer, photographer, programmer, truck driver and general, all round nut case. Life is a journey and that's what this blog will probably end up being. Let's see where we go, eh? ;-)
Word on the street is that if this bill passes, (link at the bottom) then Europe will tell US tech companies to go whistle.
In the mean time, the Department of Homeland Security is crying buckets because it doesn't get to handle all the data and gets its budget smoked. Awww.... shame.
This kind of thing could have implications for systems that run across borders, particularly shopping sites and, you guessed it, e-book systems. Especially mixed in, as it is, with the recent co-operation with private data between the US and Europe that went up in flames a couple of weeks ago.
Keep an eye on this ... it's going to be both entertaining and depressing in equal measure.
