I forgot to update you last night!
Yes, the book is now 49 pages; an additional 6 in new/padded material. Now at 29,151 words and there is still a quarter left of the initial story line to re-work, before I return to the bones.
By that time, I'll be ready to switch modes again, having taken the best part of a week doing other things. It almost feels like a holiday and I'm becoming happier; looking forward to reviewing the plot so far, taking stock of the actions that still have to be played out ... sort of laying out the bones so I can see what remains of the skeleton again. But, progress is good and I'm happy so far.
However, I warned the publisher this morning, that we might have to offer a free box of man-size with every paperback; but I don't think he'll go with that suggestion.
