Michelle Knight. Writer, photographer, programmer, truck driver and general, all round nut case. Life is a journey and that's what this blog will probably end up being. Let's see where we go, eh? ;-)
Like many people, I push myself and do too much; and my body says, "Right! What do you think you're doing? Oh no your not. Bed! Now!" and there's little I can do about it.
But my mind never really stops. Yesterday I had a chat with a good friend about books, and ... you know ... it really hacks me off that there's ideas that I'll never take forward. There's only so much time I'll be able to spend on this planet.
One of which is, what if fantasy was reality? I mean, not all creatures would be their stereotypical characters. Imagine an Orc as a decent orcish-being; ostracised from Orc society for not being Orc enough. Doing his/her bit for society, baking cakes for charity events in the local village, that sort of stuff. I'd also get to use some great lines if they were discriminated against. "Now you're just being Orcist."
And what about Imps! One of them could go in a tirade against the values of society; how beauty is only hide-deep and they're not boils, they're beauty lumps.
Oh, the places I could go to, the things I could write...
